Pretty typical of any collegeSep 02 2011Biology
Pretty typical of any college. Solid SAT scores, grades, extracurricular activities, etc and you'll be good to go. Fordham is very interested in its students being involved in community service, so I would say a history of community service would definitely be beneficial if you have average grades and/or SAT scores.
SAT: 1260 Male
I had a 3Apr 14 2011Economics
I had a 3.4 with 5 ap's, all with 3, 4, of 5's. Also, im from maryland and they love to bring people from all over the country. I played a few sports, none varsity, did some bs clubs, and volunteered here and there. Also had a job most of high school. Take as many AP's as possible (the tests too) and you'll thank me for the rest of your life.
SAT: 1900 Male
Fordham was my safety school, but here's my advice:Jul 29 2010English
Fordham was my safety school, but here's my advice: So what if you get horrible grades? Make it a point to show off intellectual curiosity, and a sincere interest in the world, and you'll get in. You can do this is extracurriculars, essays, or in your recs. Just show that you are inspired to learn, and Fordham will want to teach you.
ACT: 34 SAT: 2280 Female
This school was one of my backups, and IMay 30 2009Economics
This school was one of my backups, and I am not extremely smart or anything. I had a 3.6, took one AP course that I got a C in, i only took like 1 honors course. I played 2 sports and was captain, but I didn't really join any extra curriculars. I got a 1300 (out of 1600) on my SATS. I ended up getting a pretty good scholarship package so its not that hard.
SAT: 1300 Female
I had a 3May 12 2009PreDent and Dentistry
I had a 3.9 in high school, and decent test scores. I had a really good essay, and I was up to my eyes in extracurriculars, jobs, and sports. Just be confident, have amazing credentials, and write a good essay. It helps if you know someone, too. Many people I know are less than mediocre students, but their grandfather's grandfather went here, yadda yadda yadda, and they got in.
